what? I'm just SAYING.

If you look up humor on Merriam Webster, the first definition reads as follows:

1 a : a normal functioning bodily semifluid or fluid (as the blood or lymph)
b : a secretion (as a hormone) that is an excitant of activity.

Maybe this explains why we find certain fluids so humorous.
